First, it's ok that you haven't worked around to Middlemarch but I did finish it early this month and felt so satisfied with it. I really liked it, even more than Anna Karenina.

Also, for your kids, have you read any of the Toot and Puddle books? We LOVED them. I know my kids are slightly too big for them now but they are ones that I would like to buy just to have. I might do it.

"satisfied" >> That is such a perfect way to leave a big, investment-kind of a book. I'm so glad to hear it. I'll get there, I will!

Just added the first Toot & Puddle book to my ThriftBooks cart. Excited to dig in! Never heard of them, but I'm sure they are delight if your crew enjoyed them.

I adore Stella Endicott! Lately I've been on a Middle Grade novel kick and I'm currently reading Caterpillar Summer by Gillian McDunn. The January comment about homeschooling is one I'm going to stash away as well, and it also reminded me I need to reply to your email. 🙃❤️

Middle Grade takes a big backseat to Young Adult, but I am re-falling in love with it this last year. :)

I was so intrigued when I heard about Screaming on the Inside, but I was afraid it would just make me feel worse to have everything that's difficult about modern motherhood waved in front of my face. It sounds like I made the right decision to pass if there aren't actionable steps at the end.

It really, really made me feel seen rather than angry. But like I said: didn't need anyone to actually tell me any of that. ;)

“don’t make any homeschool decisions in the dark days of January” -- OOF. Yes. We are ending January and starting February with a massive sinus infection/bronchitis-y kind of deal over here and I am questioning alllll my educational decisions for my oldest--lol. This reminder was helpful. And I also can't wait to read Screaming on the Inside!! It's on hold at the library :)

Yes! Monday was certainly slight colds (everyone) + hormones (me) + weather (COLD) + togetherness (too much!) = lots of wailing and gnashing of teeth. EEK!

Let's revisit our decisions in the sunshine of March? Ha!

Hope you are all recuperated soon!
