I adore Tomie dePaola and have somehow never read the Andy & Sandy books! I'll look into them for Conlin. As always, LaCrosse was a delight (even if browsing the bookstore together always adds exponentially to our tbr lists!)
As most early readers are, they're not WOW YOU HAVE TO READ THIS! But they are absolutely the perfect stepping stone up from BOB Books. Arthur's been getting frustrated when he opens an early reader and there are 30 words on each page and only a quarter of the words follow really predictable patterns, so I was really happy to find these to help him build some confidence on his reading journey.
